FUNCTION

 

 

The purpose of this job is to help ExpedIT Solutions in providing the best service and support to our existing and new clients with onsite and remote IT support in all IT areas.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

ExpedIT Solutions offers IT support for any company that does not have its own IT shop.  We help with the consultation, recommendation, design, setup, implementation and maintenance of networks, servers, desktops, laptops and retail and hospitality Point of Sale.  The individual we are looking for will be responsible for the following:

  •  Responsible for daily services calls both onsite and remote/phone support

  • Daily checks of client remote backups and assurance they are working correctly

  • Monitoring of client servers and their environments

o        Make sure Reporting for the clients is current

o        Resolve any issues determined by Environment Monitoring

  • Work closely with Lead Technician in resolving large issues that arise

  • Resolving client needs in regards to broken equipment or suggestions for improvement in their existing hardware/software environment

  • Will work with Lead Technician and Director of Operations to accomplish hardware/software procurement  or upgrades/replacements

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

[   ] Masters Degree

Comptia A+ and Net + Certification a plus. Microsoft Certifications a plus... or equivalent experience.  Any related training or certifications a plus.

           

 

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Must be able to troubleshoot and work with existing issues and new issues as they arise. The issues will vary, and you need to have full knowledge in all Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, in addition to all types of hardware repair and troubleshooting. The individual we are looking for will have skills or training in the following:

  • Microsoft Windows 9x, NT, 2000, XP, and Vista Operating Systems

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 and 2003 Server (inlcluding 2003 Standard, Enterprise, and SBS versions) Operating Systems

  • Active Directory

  • Router/Network configuration, setup, installation and maintenance

  • Desktop/Notebook repair, setup, installation and maintenance

  • Server repair, setup, installation and maintenance

  • Microsoft and other 3rd party application support and sometimes training

  •  Knowledge of Apple Mac Server OS

  •  Knowledge of Apple Mac Workstation OS

  • Knowledge of Remote Backups and how they operate
